The Shakespeare SALT XT MX Surf is a rod that is especially designed to be used with a multiplier and has a fast progressive blank offering easy long range casting but also maximum bite detection. Due to the use of high grade carbon, the blank is very slim and low weight. The sliding reel seat enables you to position the reel at any position that you prefer to make the best out of your casting, and to give maximum grip, the whole butt section is covered in a X-Shrink wrap. The rod can be perfectly used on clean and mixed ground beaches for general species including bass, cod, rays, flatfish and whiting.
